28th Convocation Ceremony

Heartiest congratulations to all students on the completion of your studies in OUM! To celebrate your achievements, we are pleased to announce that the 28th Convocation Ceremony will be held on 26 – 29 October 2024 (Saturday – Tuesday) at Merdeka Hall, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL).

Please take note on the important information for all Graduates.

PhD & Doctorates

  • Completed studies by the January 2024 semester. Januari 2024 • Submitted VIVA correction report (PGR09-2: POST-VIVA CORRECTION REPORT BY STUDENT) by or before  15 April 2024
Master’s Degree
  • Completed studies by the January 2024 semester. Submitted project/practicum/industrial training/internship report latest by internship before or on 15 April 2024;

Degree & Diploma

Completed studies by the January 2024 semester. Submitted project/practicum/industrial training/internship report latest by intership before or on

15 April 2024;

  1. Graduation status and list of session will be available at the 28th Convocation Portal according to the following details:

Graduation status Completed studies by May & September 2023 Semester
from 2 April 2024 in stages
Completed studies by September 2023 Semester
from 7 May 2024 in stages
Completed studies by January 2024 Semester
from 3 September 2024 in stages
Listing of Sessions from 3 September 2024 onwards, in stages
  1. The following personal details will be recorded on the degree/diploma certificate and official academic transcript. Therefore, students need to check through myOUM>Student Profile>Biodata according to the following details:
    • Spelling of the name is the same as the identity card;
    • Matriculation number;
    • Gender; and
    • Nationality

    Any amendments need to be notified via email muhamadomar@oum.edu.my together with a copy of the identity card or passport for updating no later than 31 March 2024. A fee will be imposed if amendments are made after this date..


  1. The convocation fee is RM400 for all graduates..
  2. Graduates are advised to refer to myAcademic Progress in myOUM to determine the status of their studies.
  3. Graduates will be given the opportunity to take part in only the Convocation for which their name is listed. This means postponements will not be allowed.
  4. Only graduates who have settled the fees, including convocation fees, will be allowed to take part in the Convocation.
  5. Graduates are advised to regularly refer 28th Convocation portal for the latest information, to download relevant information, and to take the necessary action to avoid any problems or complications.
