Event Dos & Don'ts
The Convocation is a formal event, therefore all those involved must respect and abide by the rules set so that the ceremony could proceed smoothly.

Convocation Day Movement Information
- FOR ATTENDING GRADUATES

- Gather at Anjung Merdeka as early as 7.30am (Morning Session) or 12.30pm (Afternoon Session).
- Wear your academic robe and carry your smart card. Graduates without the academic robe and smart card will not be allowed entry into the hall and onto the stage.
- You are not allowed to bring in personal belongings other than the smart card. The University will not be responsible for lost belongings.
- Please abide by the dress code stated in the video that can be viewed in the convocation portal and during academic robe collection.
- Follow the COVID-19 SOP at all times to ensure the safety of all those present.
- FOR ATTENDING GUESTS:
- Guests will be allowed to enter the hall as early as 8am (Morning Session) or 1.30pm (Afternoon Session).
- You must bring along the invitation card (according to session). Guests without an invitation card will not be allowed entry into the hall.

- Guests waiting outside the hall may watch the proceedings from a screen in the lobby of the 5th Floor.

- Rules within the Hall
- Sit in the allocated seat.
- Do not leave the hall until the ceremony ends.
- Do not bring in a camera.
- Place handphone in silent mode.
- Entry will be denied to those who disobey the dress code.
Invitation Card for Family Members
- Graduates are allowed to bring in two family members to the 26th Convocation. They must be:
- fully vaccinated (complete duration); and
- not at high risk of contracting COVID-19.
- Each guest must bring his or her own invitation card.
- All guests must be neatly and decently dressed and are encouraged to bring a jacket or sweater
- Children under 12 are not allowed to attend the Convocation.
- Guests are allowed to take photos and videos only from their seats during the proceedings.
- Handphones must be placed in silent mode while in the hall.
- Guests are not encouraged to leave the hall during the proceedings.
